Everyone wants to have a peaceful Christmas with warmth, happiness and joy. A Christmas where snow glows outside the window and where Santa Claus waits by the chimney to soon slide down to leave Christmas gifts by the tree. But is it just in the movies where the Christmas is that idyllic? ”A Christmas Puzzle” takes place in New York in the 30's on one of Harlems most swinging clubs: The Cotton Club. The owner of the club wants to create the perfect Christmas show, a show that will represents all of Christmas' bits and pieces. A feverish mood arises at the club, all the artists wants to impress the boss with their ideas. The dancers visualise their show pieces representing generosity, peacefulness and sympathy, but also the downsides with greed, stress and consumption.
But what happens when all the show pieces have been played? What will the completed puzzle look like? Will it be like they expected or will it all change then the last piece of the puzzle is put down? ”A Christmas Puzzle” is a swing dance musical written and produced by Sandra Klack and Mattias Lundmark.
